The 2026 World Cup
Comes to Willow Glen.
Levi's Stadium is 15 minutes from our door. Every match played there, we'll have on the screens. And for fans who want to go deeper than a TV and a beer, we've put together a country-by-country guide to the wines and dishes worth exploring from each nation on the pitch.
A culinary passport for the tournament.
Six Levi's Stadium matches. Fans from Qatar, Switzerland, Austria, Jordan, Paraguay, Algeria, and Australia traveling in for their teams. We thought — wouldn't it be fun to dig into the wines and foods from each of those countries? So we put together the guide below. Explore the ideas at home, use them as inspiration when you build your own watch-party spread, or come hang out with us and ask us about them at the bar. We don't promise a special menu on match day — we just think the tournament is a great excuse to get curious about what the world drinks and eats.
Every Levi's Stadium match. We'll have it on.
Opening weekend. Swiss wines you've never heard of, Qatari spice, and a full-course game day at 20Twenty.
Grüner Veltliner meets mansaf. A late-night watch party with Austrian schnitzel, Jordanian mezze, and a sommelier-curated wine flight.
The UEFA Playoff C winner (Türkiye, Romania, Slovakia, or Kosovo) takes on Paraguay. Expect South American grilled meats, European wines, and late-summer energy.
Algerian couscous, Jordanian mansaf, and a hand-picked flight of North African wines. One night. Two flags. Unmissable.
Australian Shiraz. Paraguayan asado. A summer Thursday that ends with a winning toast.
A Round of 32 match at Levi's Stadium — one of the higher-stakes games of the tournament, on the screens in Willow Glen. A great excuse to pull together a global watch-party spread at home: one wine and one dish from every country we've featured this month.
A country-by-country guide — for inspiration, not a menu.
These are ideas to explore on your own — at home, at your own watch party, or just as an excuse to try something new. 20Twenty's regular menu and wine list will be running as usual; we don't promise these specific bottles or dishes will be on the pour. But we love them, and thought you might too.
Qatar
A Wine Worth Trying
Cardamom-spiced qahwa, karak chai, and a hibiscus karkadeh — a thoughtful alcohol-free offering for our Qatari guests.
A Classic Dish to Explore
The national dish. Aromatic spiced rice with slow-braised lamb, cardamom, loomi (dried lime), and saffron. Served with a side of warak enab (stuffed grape leaves).
Switzerland
A Wine Worth Trying
Switzerland exports less than 2% of its wine — which means you've probably never had one. A crisp, mineral-driven white from alpine vineyards.
A Classic Dish to Explore
Melted raclette over cornichons and potatoes, plus a classic Gruyère and Emmentaler fondue for two. Cured bündnerfleisch on the side.
Austria
A Wine Worth Trying
Austria's signature white — bright, peppery, and built for food. We're also pouring a Zweigelt red from Burgenland.
A Classic Dish to Explore
Pounded-thin veal cutlet, classic breading, lemon and lingonberry on the side. Sachertorte for dessert.
Jordan
A Wine Worth Trying
A rare bottling from Jordan's St. George estate, plus our house karkadeh (hibiscus iced tea) for a non-alcoholic pour.
A Classic Dish to Explore
Jordan's national dish: lamb braised in jameed yogurt, served over rice with toasted almonds. Served alongside a mezze platter of hummus, muhammara, labneh, and warm pita.
Paraguay
A Wine Worth Trying
Paraguay's iconic cold-brewed yerba mate served in the traditional gourd, plus a flight of Southern Cone reds from Chile and Argentina.
A Classic Dish to Explore
The world's only 'soup' that's actually a cornbread — rich with cheese and onion. Served with chipa (baked cassava-cheese rolls) and grilled asado.
Algeria
A Wine Worth Trying
A surprising North African red from Algeria's historic wine region — full-bodied, earthy, and perfect with spiced lamb.
A Classic Dish to Explore
Fluffy semolina with slow-cooked merguez, lamb, chicken, and seven vegetables in saffron broth. Finished with a drizzle of harissa-infused olive oil.
Australia
A Wine Worth Trying
Big, bold, brambly. A Barossa Shiraz and a Margaret River Cabernet anchor the flight. Chardonnay from Yarra Valley for a cooler counterpoint.
A Classic Dish to Explore
House-made lamb kofta skewers with mint chimichurri, plus a proper Aussie meat pie with tomato sauce. Pavlova for dessert.
UEFA Playoff C Winner
A Wine Worth Trying
We're holding this one for the playoff result — Türkiye's Öküzgözü, Romania's Fetească Neagră, Slovak Frankovka Modrá, or a Kosovar red. Whoever qualifies, we're pouring their best.
A Classic Dish to Explore
Menu TBD until the UEFA playoff concludes. Expect sarmale (Romania), meze and kebab (Türkiye), bryndzové halušky (Slovakia), or flija (Kosovo).
The best spot to watch in the Bay Area.
